Mews Auctions has been trading for the past 34 years and is the only weekly auction in the Forest of Dean. Established in 1989, Mews Auction Rooms' success through over 3 decades has made the Mews name known throughout the Forest and beyond. Stop and ask any Forester if they have ever been to a Mews Auction, and its unlikely you will ever get a negative reply or adverse comment.
The business is now under new management and was re-launched in 2017 with new and exciting ideas, but still retains the original Mews niche auction market identity and unique customer service.
Mews Auctions is the predominant auction house in the Forest of Dean area, selling a complete variety of Household Goods and Chattels, Antiques, Collectables, Garden and Outdoor Equipment, Paintings, Clocks, Furniture, etc. In fact, almost anything and everything, from Artists' Easels to Z-Beds.
An experienced team
Our experienced team will be happy to guide you on what you may expect from the sale of your possession and we will explain the auction process in full for you to understand. Entries are welcomed on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and Sales are every Friday evening, starting at 6 p.m. Viewing of Lots is available on Fridays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Our bespoke auction software, Praeco, designed and written by a local Forest of Dean man, Dave Stephens, is so sophisticated that we are able to make payments to Sellers as soon as the hammer falls and before the winning Bidder pays for the item. Thus your proceeds are GUARANTEED!
If you are not present on the night, leave us your bank details and we will pay out within 48 hours!! Our fast payment is our USP and it really is unique!
